Report
Drapanias. Μ. Andredaki-Vlazaki (KE’ ΕΠΚΑ) reports on work at the church of Agios Georgios Nopigion which was founded within a second-century AD Roman bath complex. The walls of the Roman building, of fired brick on a stone foundation, are preserved to a height of 2-3.2m. Traces of marble cladding and paving are preserved, plus floors of thick waterproof plaster. Finds included small marble relief plaques, part of a marble statue, three statuettes depicting a Selinus, a snake and grapes. One area of the bath complex contained 17 cist graves of the Christian period.
