À Érétrie, la XIe éphorie des antiquités préhistoriques et classiques a effectué en 2003 une fouille de sauvetage sur le terrain O. Makridis, rue du Théâtre antique, près de la mer, et a mis au jour des éléments architecturaux : un fragment de colonne à fut lisse en poros (long. 1,03 ; diam. 0,43 m) et un bloc de marbre. Ces deux éléments étaient pris dans le beach-rock.
