Ano Parakalamos (Repetisti). Monastery of Profitis Ilias. A Karaberidi (8th EBA) reports a study of a small monastic complex, a metochi of the nearby Monastery of Sosinos. The katholikon in its present form is a single, wooden-roofed naos with wallpaintings of the 18th – 19th centuries. The apse of the sacristry protrudes from the exterior of the east wall, while the apse of the sanctuary opens to the thickness of the wall. This distinction probably reflects the existence of an earlier construction phase to which the apse of the sacristry and the south wall of the naos belong. On the exterior of the south wall are brick arches now closed, and a sculpture now built into the wall which must have had an original position elsewhere. Inside, traces of an earlier layer of wallpaintings are preserved on the lower part of the south wall. Other surviving remains of the complex include the unusually high peribolos wall, ruins of the cells in the southeast corner of the peribolos, and a well.
