Arta (anc. Ambracia), Arachthou Street (Gouni-Papakosta property). P. Gouni (ΙΒ' ΕΠΚΑ) reports the discovery, during rescue excavation for construction, of a section of the city wall with a public building and a paved Hellenistic street (preserving wheel ruts) inside it (Fig. 1: 245). A road ran parallel to the outside of the wall, and the remains of structures spanning a long period of occupation, from Archaic to Roman times and beyond, were also found.
