ATHENS, Kifissia. Part of a second-century AD building complex was excavated in a plot at the corner of Ragavis and Tatoiou 12 in Kifissia, potentially belonging to the villa of Herodes Atticus thought to be nearby. Abundant ceramic evidence dates from the 2nd – 5th centuries, with some evidence that the site was in use in the 11th. The base of a statue preserving feet and a tree stump was recovered, as well as important fragments of wall painting with floral decoration.
