Vouliagmenis Avenue, junctions of Michalakopoulou and Koumoundourou Streets (Stavropoulou Brothers plot, O.T. 71A). K. Kaza-Papageorgiou (ΚΣτ ΕΠΚΑ) reports.
In 1985, trial trenches revealed Prehistoric building remains. In 2000-2001 excavations were continued over the remainder of the property, completing investigation of a further two neighbouring plots at O.T. 71A (properties of Atlantik A.E. and O.A.E.D).
The continuation of the Prehistoric (EH and LH) remains was revealed.
More of the stream bed previously found on the Atlantik property was exposed, filled with EH II sherds, and with a strong retaining wall on its eastern bank. West of the stream were parts of EH house walls which appear to continue to the south. An apsidal dug-out house (2 x 3m) belongs to the first phase of EH: to the west lay sections of walls and foundations of houses with straight and apsidal walls. In the same area, Late Helladic structures were enclosed by a poorly preserved peribolos on the east and north sides.
In the western part of the excavation was a large 6.5m-square area, probably a courtyard, and further west a threshold. South of this area was a 4.7m-long section of water channel with stone cover-slabs.
