Kaminia. M. Petritaki (ΚΣτ ΕΠΚΑ) reports the discovery on two building plots of a road outside the north arm of the Long Walls, mentioned by ancient sources as the main arterial road linking the city of Athens with the Piraeus.
Junction of Peiraios and Kastanitsis Streets (property of the National Bank): here the road was 7.25m wide and bounded by two east-west walls.
Junction of 83 Peiraios and Kastanitsis Streets (property of «Fashion Car»): the remains of two walls, 7.1m apart, mark the southern and northern boundaries of the road.
