Report
Agrinion, Genova (Megalou Dendrou and Roumelis Streets). M. Stavopoulou-Gatsi (then Στ’ ΕΠΚΑ) reports the discovery of antiquities in two locations.
14 Megalou Dendrou Street: part of a workshop was discovered, comprising an oval structure with walls of baked clay, plus masses of clay and strong traces of burning.
17 Roumelis Street: two cist tombs were found. Tomb I, of schist slabs with two Laconian rooftiles set at the base, contained a pot and an iron strigil. Tomb II was entirely lined with Corinthian cover tiles: the southeast corner was disturbed, and four pots were collected from the area (including two fourth-century red figure lekythoi of the Agrinion Group).
