Stephani-Loutsa Thorikou (Danavangeli land). †M. Oikonomakou (Β’ ΕΠΚΑ) reports on excavation (begun in 1993) of a large building (55 x 45m as presently revealed) on a slope inside the Thorikos archaeological site. At the highest point are the foundations of a near-square tower (6.27 x 6.7m) with 0.9m thick walls of large limestone blocks. At the centre of the complex are two large halls or baths (8.21 x 4.5m; 8.21 x 2.86m). The first had a simple mosaic floor of white gravel or small marble chips and a hearth in the corner (Fig. 1); the second (Fig. 2) had a similar floor and on its east side a flight of 9 steps (total height 1.61m) leading to another area to the northeast (Fig. 3).
