Report
The Spring of Theagenes. P. Avgerinou. (Γ’ ΕΠΚΑ) reports on work in the archaeological site of the Spring of Theagenes on Moraitou Street. A house was demolished on the Papastamati property to the southeast of the monument, and the site roofed and fenced. This revealed an 11.9m long stretch of Lesbian masonry on the axis of Odysseos Street, which is probably the support for a Classical road. Much of what might have remained under the house had unfortunately been destroyed by the construction of its basements; the only preserved section revealed a small part of a paved floor on an east-west axis, as that found at Theognidos Street. This was probably a paved road or part of the paved courtyard of the Spring.
