Report
Junction of 18 Philellinon and Lamachou Streets (property of Philellinon Estates). Th. Iliopoulos (Γ’ ΕΠΚΑ) reports on a brief excavation which revealed a cistern and two parallel channels oriented west-east (one Classical with built sides and a covering, and the other a Roman clay horseshoeshape). A 4m long cylindrical clay pipe of Peisistratid type was also uncovered (Fig. 1). These pipes were found also in 1969 in an excavation at Lamachou 3, which also revealed part of the fortification ditch and a road.
