Report
Petralona, junction of Dorieon and Troon Streets (property of S. Balta). A. Kokoliou (Γ’ ΕΠΚΑ) reports the discovery of a mid fourth-century BC workshop installation for clay preparation (Fig. 1). In the second half of the fourth-century, the area became a new potters’ quarter outside the fortification but within the Long Walls.
Investigation revealed seven cisterns: on the floors of cisterns 3 and 5, circular cuttings served as holding basins for clay and sediments.
