Report
Iakchou Street. Th. Iliopoulos (Γ’ ΕΠΚΑ) reports on excavation for drainage works between Voutadon and Eumolpidon streets which revealed evidence of burials from the cemeteries along the Sacred Way. By Iakchou 17 lay a complete funerary kioniskos with its base (0.55 high, 0.17m in diameter) bearing the inscription ΚΛΕΟΒΟΥΛΟΣ ΔΙΩΝΟΣ ΠΛΥΓΟΝΟΕΥΣ (i.e. from Plygonion in western Lokris); while in front of Iakchou 16 were found a number of Hellenistic unguentaria, ostraca and fragments of a tile grave with a lead clamp.
