Dans la zone où se construit le nouvel aéroport de Larnaca, des travaux de terrassement ont mis au jour une tombe intacte du Chypro-Archaïque I (T. 61 = ΜΛΑ 1889). On y a notamment recueilli :
- un bol Grey Polished de type phénicien (T. 61/13 ; haut. 4,4 cm ; diam. 10,8 cm ; fig. 1) ;
- un cruchon de même fabrique[1] (T. 61/23 ; fig. 2) ;
- une figurine de terre cuite d’un type exceptionnel. Elle représente un personnage trônant, en train de boire dans une coupe hémisphérique (T. 61/7 ; haut. 10,4 cm ; larg. 5,1 cm ; fig. 3 et 4). Le trône comme le personnage portent un riche décor peint en noir et rouge.
