Au lieu-dit Paliokastra on a découvert, en 1978, au sommet d'une colline, les restes d'une acropole fortifiée jusqu'alors inconnue, avec céramique de l'époque géométrique à l'époque hellénistique. La nécropole correspondant à cet habitat a été repérée non loin de là, et l'on en a fouillé quatre tombes-pithoi, apparemment hellénistiques. Ibid*., p. 140.
