La campagne de 1986 a été essentiellement consacrée à l’étude du matériel recueilli au cours des trois campagnes de prospection sur le terrain qui l’ont précédée : céramique, inscriptions, fragments architecturaux, reliefs, outillage lithique. Plusieurs études spécialisées ont été menées à bien, notamment celle, par J. M. Wagstaff, de l’occupation des sols, des pratiques agricoles et du développement des villages à l’époque moderne.
