Au cours des travaux de restauration du bâtiment de l’Arsakeion, construit au milieu du XIXe siècle, on a découvert de nombreux remplois en marbre provenant de l’Acropole, notamment du Parthénon et des Propylées. Un certain nombre d’entre eux ont pu être récupérés. Presse du 11.4.86.
