Thouria
Xeni Arapogianni (ASA) reports on continued excavation at the site of the theatre. Research focused on the area West of the scene building, where a later building was uncovered. Its use in the 6th cent. AD is suggested by a byzantine coin of Justin and Sophia. The presence of the first steps of a staircase suggests the building had one story (one floor?). This building, which may have been a farmhouse, was destroyed by fire. It was built with reuse material and rubble. Tiles, common use pottery sherds and lamp sherds were recovered as well as a millstone.
