Choumeri. E. Theocharopoulou reports on the programme of restoration and conservation at the Church of the Presentation of the Virgin Mary (Fig. 1). The iconography and technical execution of the wall-paintings are described in detail (Fig. 2). The themes and techniques of execution are well-established by the early 15th century AD (although executed here in local Cretan idiom): a date in the middle or second half of the 15th century is likely.
