Au sommet de la colline de Mégali Arika, à 2 km à l'Est de Gaïdourokastro, site de l'antique Galipsos, on a repéré un orifice orthogonal creusé dans le rocher ; la céramique la plus ancienne ramassée sur le plateau sommital et la pente orientale date du début de l'Âge du Fer.
