Une fortification périphérique, apparemment byzantine, a été repérée, et une tombe à tuiles protobyzantine a été nettoyée. Des murs avec mortier sont visibles au Sud et à l'Ouest de l'île. Un sanctuaire paléochrétien existait vraisemblablement à l'emplacement de l'actuelle chapelle.
