Report
Corfu town, Venetian fortification. F. Kephallonitou (Director, 8th EBA) reports the exposure of a section of the inner face of the wall on Donzelot Street; this forms an angle at the junction with Mitropolis Square and continues parallel with the lawcourts. Large sections of the Venetian underground storm drain were also found. Pottery from the excavations dates to the 15th to 18th century, and features sgraffito and other glazed wares.
