Dernière place-forte du Péloponnèse à tomber aux mains des Turcs en 1461, le fort surplombe les vestiges de l'habitat médiéval, à Mésochôri, où deux tombes chrétiennes ont été pillées par des fouilleurs clandestins. De plan semi-circulaire, il est très mal conservé. On signale un intéressant pont de pierre à Tsetsevos.
