Report
Hellenic Homes S.A property, Aptera. Vana Niniou-Kindeli (ΚΕ’ ΕΠΚΑ) reports that in the property of Hellenic Homes S.A, W of the protection zones of Ancient Aptera (site: Tou Aga to Mnima), a grave was detected during the excavation of foundations for the erection of houses. Two rock-cut shaft graves from which one was disturbed, were unearthed. Their covering slabs were missing. In the first one, only the bones of the lower limbs were found as well as a silver coin of Kydonia of the end of the 5th-beginning of the 4th c. B.C. In the second, apart from the bones, which were badly preserved, two lamps of the Late Classical period were also included.
