Sur les pentes de la colline Paliokôstra (Paliokastron), à l'Est de la gare du chemin de fer et au Sud du fleuve Angitis, on a ramassé des tessons d'époques diverses s'échelonnant de l'Âge du Fer à l'époque byzantine (XIIIe-XIVe s.) ; au sommet, on note un bâtiment quadrilatère, sans doute post-byzantin ; la pente Ouest est parsemée de tessons et de fragments de blocs.
