Report
Preveza. The Ephorate of Antiquities of Preveza report that the head of a Roman period statue was pulled from the sea, from a depth of around 10m. It probably dates from the period of Antoninus or Severus (2nd/3rd century AD). The head is made of Pentelic marble and is almost intact, apart from parts of the nose, right ear and chin. The object has been transferred to the Archaeological Museum of Nikopolis.
