Une fouille d'urgence, effectuée en 1990 par le Service archéologique dans un terrain à bâtir (terrain Nicolaïdi-Bénétou) situé sur la Toumba, a mis au jour six tombes à tuiles et une tombe à ciste appartenant à un complexe funéraire déjà connu, qui date de l'époque romaine.
