Les travaux de restauration de la tour antique de Cheimaros, commencés en 1997, ont été poursuivis. En 2000 a été achevé le relevé détaillé du monument lui-même, conservé sur 15 m de haut, et de son péribole presque carré (35 m de côté) (v. BCH 124 [2000] Chron., p. 976 ; Chronique n.11554).
