Report
Klokova, Tamburi site. Foteini Saranti (ΛΣΤ’ ΕΠΚΑ) reports on discoveries made during construction work on the Ionian Road motorway.
A rectangular tower was documented, built of cobblestones and divided into two sections by an inte-rior wall. The building had orientation NS and dimensions 11 x 2.50m. Scattered traces of pottery were found were found nearby the tower and on its eastern slope, while to the W was a small terrace with remains of further walls visible. Based on the construction, it is thought the tower dates to the Classical or Hellenistic period.
