Stoubeika plot, north of ancient Kalydona. Kilometre position 25 + 960. Maria Gatsi (ΛΣΤ’ ΕΠΚΑ) reports on discoveries made during construction work on the Ionian Road motorway.
Two cist graves were found, made of sandstone slabs placed vertically, and dating to the protogeometric and geometric period (Fig. 1). The first contained one adult, seven crushed ceramic vessels, three highly oxidised metal objects; and the second a child burial with two crushed ceramic vessels.
