Pantamodia site, Anthofyto - 2008
Pantamodia site, Anthofyto. Maria Gatsi (ΛΣΤ’ ΕΠΚΑ) reports on discoveries made at this plot.
A cist grave was discovered on the road leading to Paleopyrgos, south of Anthofyto, having dimensions 1.96 x 0.89m and found at a depth of 1m. It was located 7.85 above the road on a hillside, and no other graves were found in the area. It is thought to date to the Hellenistic period.
Grave goods included four lamps, three perfume jugs, two kantharoi, a skyphos, pyramidal loom weight, around fifty buckles, and seven coins. Skeletal remains were found on the S side of the tomb.
