Report
Solomos area, construction part K67 01 D2, Ancient Corinth. Konstantinos Kissas (LZ’ EPKA) reports on the rescue excavations taking place in the area ranging between Agioi Theodoroi, Corinth and Megalopoli, due to the constructions of a gas pipe. During the process of forming a trench for the placement of the gas pipe, a Classical time workshop construction (linos) was located (Fig. 1).
The construction (SE-NW) was equipped with a linos (grape presser), formed with plaster mortar, two storing pithoi on each side of the linos and one stone brick on the NE side (Fig. 2). In the NW, the channel for the liquid removal was located. The pithoi seem to be integrated in the floor. After consulting KAS (Central Archeological Council), the gas pipe passed underneath the archaeological site, and the antiquities were buried again for protection.
