Vlackaiika plot, property of K. Kaloudiotis (sector K302), Marathia. Maria Gatsi (ΛΣΤ’ ΕΠΚΑ) reports on discoveries made during the construction of the new irrigation network.

Remains of an agricultural settlement of the Hellenistic period were found, which extend beyond the boundaries of the trench excavated. A large rectangular space was investigated (Fig. 1,2), measuring 7.50 x 4.70m, walls preserved to a height of 0.50-0.60m. To the N of the complex was part of another wall, 0.8m wide, and an almost rectangular well made with clay slabs and mortar, internally lined. Small amounts of unpainted and black-painted pottery were found during the excavation.
