À Chora, la 2e Éphorie des antiquités byzantines a effectué, en 1996, des travaux de restauration et de consolidation dans l'église post-byzantine Saint-Jean Chrysostome, à nef unique couverte d'une voûte en ogive avec coupole. Son templum, en bois sculpté, possède d'intéressantes icônes des XVIe-XVIIIe s.
