En 1996, la 2e Éphorie des antiquités byzantines a effectué, dans l'église byzantine du Taxiarque (XIIe s.), des travaux de restauration du templum post-byzantin en marbre (XVIIIe s.). Ces travaux ont permis de récupérer plusieurs blocs d'époque byzantine remployés.
