Report
Moschato, Peiraios Ave. 69 and Adrianopoulou (O.T. 194, property of ASSOS & Co). Maria Raftopoulou (ΚΣΤ’ ΕΠΚΑ) reports on the discovery of a prehistoric settlement (Figs. 1, 2). Rectangular bipartite houses were excavated. Their walls were carefully constructed and some of them had herringbone patterns. A hearth was discovered in Building A as well as terracotta and schist roof tiles. The houses had been built along the sides of a stone-paved road. Cairns, structures and pits were revealed in the southern part of the property. It appears that these are the remains of a workshop. Numerous EHII and Mycenaean pottery sherds were found. Some sherds may also date in the MH. In addition, tools and obsidian flakes were collected. The settlement appears to have had more than one construction phases.
