Report
Arta (anc. Ambracia) Aracthou Street (Gouni-Papakosta property). Th. Kontogianni (ΙΒ’ ΕΠΚΑ) reports that continuing excavation revealed a section of the city wall, a public building and a paved Hellenistic street. In the west and northern part of the property lay residential buildings dating from the second half of the sixth century BC to the first century AD. Two Roman tile burials were discovered. Finds included ceramics dating from the sixth century BC to the first century AD, terracotta figurines, stamped tiles, bronze coins of Ambracia and metal objects (buttons, buckles), some bone objects, and fragments of glass.
