Alimos. Hill of Agia Anna. K. Kaza-Papageorgiou (ΚΣτ ΕΠΚΑ) reports on cleaning undertaken in the area around the Thesmophorion of Halimnous and the Early Christian basilica of Ag. Anna excavated by Wrede in 1929. Three large World War II pill-boxes on a 25x15m plateau at the top of the hill incorporated much ancient material. A short distance from the south pill-box was a circular structure (2.2m in diameter) of ancient building materials, inside which was a layer of stones, sherds, and fragments of handmade Archaic figurines probably related to the Thesmophorion. In this same area was a child’s tile grave. A short distance from the north pill-box were the remains of a grave of stone slabs. In the centre of the plateau was a pit containing a large number of bones and skulls.
