Description
Zakynthos, Kastro. Z. Mylona (6th EBA) reports that the first phase of conservation and restoration revealed a range of new information about the building’s history and construction. The plan of the small Venetian powder magazine was established (Fig. 1), as well as details of the roof construction. A stoa was discovered (10m long, 0.9m wide, 2.5m estimated height, facing west: Fig. 2), also a 33m length of a paved road (Fig. 3), the remains of public and private buildings (Fig. 4), and a large part of the complex system of rain-water management (channels, cisterns and wells). Finds collected date from antiquity to the 20th century.
