Goumero. Moni Askiti. D. Athanasoulis (6th EBA) describes an abandoned hermitage in a rock-shelter, dedicated to the laying down of the girdle of the Virgin. The entrance wall had a doorway and two windows; part of a Middle Byzantine marble epistyle from a templon was built into a niche above the gate. Deep inside, a rockfall had destroyed the large Middle Byzantine domed church.
