Description
Private property of Papakostopoulou, Kato Mamoulada. Maria Gatsi (ΛΣΤ’ ΕΠΚΑ) reports on the excavation of prehistoric building remains, dating to the MH and LH periods (Fig. 1).
A building was discovered measuring 6.20 x 2.20m, comprising three small rooms. Parts of the floor were found with traces of burning and various vessels. The walls were built of roughly worked stones. A layer of clay was found in contact with the last wall, which probably came from a fallen superstructure of bricks. In the centre of the structure, a large deer horn was found.
To the E, part of a wall was found, oriented EW, with a maximum length 8m and width 1.15m. Its total height did not exceed 0.45m. (Fig. 2)
