Description
Konitsa plain. Christos Kleitsas and Eleni Michou (IB’ ΕΠΚΑ) report on the documentation of 55 archaeological sites throughout the Konitsa plain. Structural remains of the Late Roman period, and pottery scatters from the prehistoric through Early Byzantine period were identified. There was a group of sherds from the Bronze Age or Early Iron Age and a second from the Hellenistic period on which a seal impression was evident, depicting the head and upper body of Isis or Herarkles (Fig. 1). Sections of undated pipeline were also identified.
