Marathon. Brexiza, the Egyptian sanctuary. I. Dekoulakou (ASA) reports on continued excavation (Fig. 1). A new building was found adjacent to the south wall of the peribolos of the sanctuary (Figs. 2, 3). Finds from the building include laconian rooftiles, a fragment from a lamp, pottery sherds, coins dating in 253-283 B.C. and three bronze, Athenian drachmai dating in 264-267 B.C. Moreover, a 19th c. A.D. lime kiln was found in the west room of the building.
Finds from the broader area include a bronze handle with the head of Horos (Fig. 4) and a 4th c. A.D. amphora (Fig. 5), which was excavated south of the building.
