Description
Tsoukalaiika, Anemomylos (property of Th. Sotiropoulou). V. Tsaknaki (Στ’ ΕΠΚΑ) reports the exposure of the western face of a north-south wall (which continues beyond the boundaries of the trench), built in two phases. The wall was initially founded in a clay fill, and carefully constructed of pebbles and unworked stones. Three to four courses of similar construction (including larger stones and tile fragments) were then added. To the west lay parts of two surfaces of roads or floors (of gravel and a little pottery in beaten earth), with an 0.35m-thick fill separating them. The little pottery recovered dates to the fourth century BC.
